Ubisoft Shuts Down Project Q

Ubisoft is shutting down their mysterious blockchain game Project Q, which was initially announced back in April of 2022 and geared as a multiplayer and team-based battle arena that would allow players to ‘truly own the experience’.

According to Insider Gaming, Ubisoft’s CEO has since claimed that projects involving NFTs were not so much active projects as ‘research’, and that Ubisoft has shut down focus on Project Q  and reallocated staff and budgets to other projects.

It marks the end of a rather odd journey since the initial announcement, where Ubisoft was again met with pushback from fans in regards to another potential NFT project.
